Whitlaw Mosses
Take time to get to know this Reserve and you’ll be rewarded with the small-scale subtlety of a corrugated landscape, filled with a huge diversity of plants and animals. Look for the red flash of a six-spot burnet moth and keep your ears open for the determined squeal of a stealthy water rail. Or get down to ground level and admire the intricate network of mosses and sedges spread out before you, dotted with flowering plants and an occasional willow.
