The Reserve Proposals for Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve 2010 - 2016
The Reserve Proposals for Moine Mhor NNR sets out how we intend to manage the Reserve from 2010 - 2016.
There are three main sections to the proposals:
Management of the Heritage
Management for People
Property Management
We now wish to receive your views on the proposals.
The consultation will be launched on Tuesday 22nd June at Kilmartin House Museum. This informal evening will start at 7pm and give people the chance to hear more about plans for 'The Moss' over the next 6 years and give their views to SNH staff. There will be a talk on the Environmental History of Kilmartin Glen by Ewan Campbell of Glasgow University, as well as displays and a buffet.
On Saturday 26th June, we will be holding an Open Day at the 'Tileworks' car park on the Reserve between 10am - 3pm. There will be guided walks, family activities and refreshments.
The consultation ends on 7th September 2010.

The Story of Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve
The Reserve Story has background information on Moine Mhor National Nature Reserve. It describes the wildlife on the Reserve, the history of the land use before it became a Reserve, and past management of wildlife, people and property on the Reserve.
