Accessibility

Scottish Natural Heritage is committed to making its National Nature Reserves (NNRs) web site accessible to as many users as possible. This web site incorporates several features to aid accessibility.

Some of the content available on this web site is only available in the form of downloadable pdf or Microsoft Word format documents. Where this is the case, the title, a short summary, the file size and the format of document are provided. Adobe Reader software enabling pdf format documents to be read can be downloaded from the Adobe web site.

We have attempted to ensure that this web site complies with the guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C's) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) at the highest possible level, Level AAA. See http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/ for more information. We are aware that maintaining such a high level of accessibility will be a challenge and that, at times, some parts of the site may fall below Level AAA compliance. We will, however, monitor the site on an ongoing basis with a view to ensuring that the highest possible level of accessibility is maintained.
